It’s the 13th Annual 5K Run/Walk for Their Lives! Due to COVID-19, we are going virtual this year!
Virtual race registration is $20 and will get you a race t-shirt and enter you into a drawing to win one of a TON of awesome prizes!
Thanks to our gift card sponsor, Alpine Bank, for sponsoring purchase of gift cards from local businesses! This year, local businesses have been impacted by closures and shutdowns due to COVID. We wanted to thank those businesses that always support us and help them through this difficult time, so we partnered with Alpine Bank to purchase gift certificates to use as prizes this year! Thanks to Alpine Bank’s amazing generosity, and the generosity of many of the small businesses who donated additional cards, we have over 50 gift cards to give away to participants!
And, thanks to our t-shirt sponsor, Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter, nearly all of your registration fee will go to PSSWF to support the care of the animals, not paying for shirts!
After the event concludes on July 31, we will send in the t-shirt order and do the gift card drawing. It will take somewhere between 1 and 2 weeks to get the shirts in, then we’ll contact you about collecting your goodies!
How does the virtual 5K work? Runners will run a 5K on their own and submit their time by 5pm on July 31. The original race route can be found here, but runners are allowed to run their 5K anywhere! We will publish finish times for anyone who is competitive to see how they did!
I don’t want to run a 5K competitively. Can I still participate? Absolutely! We love to encourage being active, so you can still walk the 5K. Or, if you just want to support PSSWF, you can register and not complete a 5K at all. You’ll still get a t-shirt and be entered into the gift card drawing.
